COOKIE MOVES HOME!
Cookie, a small golden-furred puppy with big brown eyes, had always lived in a bustling animal shelter. The shelter workers were kind, but Cookie longed for a place to call home. Every day, she watched as other dogs found families, wagging their tails as they left.
One bright morning, everything changed. A kind-looking woman named Emily arrived with her young daughter, Lily. As soon as Lily saw Cookie, her face lit up. “Mom, look at this one! She’s perfect!”
Emily knelt beside the cage. “Would you like to come home with us, sweet girl?” she asked gently. Cookie wagged her tail so fast that her whole body wiggled.
That afternoon, Cookie took her first ride in a car. The world outside rushed past—trees, houses, children playing in yards. When the car stopped, Cookie stepped onto soft green grass in front of a cozy house with a red door.
Inside, Cookie explored every corner. There was a fluffy dog bed just for her, a basket full of toys, and even a shiny food bowl with her name on it. Best of all, Lily knelt down and wrapped her arms around Cookie. “Welcome home,” she whispered.
From that moment, Cookie knew—she wasn’t just a shelter dog anymore. She had a family, a warm bed, and endless belly rubs waiting for her. She was home.
